Sempre polêmico, o Nu Metal é um estilo que acabou ficando conhecido por — sem medir palavras — ser um dos piores de todos os tempos. Apesar do estigma, entretanto, o gênero produziu muita coisa boa e influente ali no final dos anos 90 e início dos anos 2000, com diversas bandas se estabelecendo como algumas das maiores da época.

Enquanto alguns desses nomes tentavam fugir do rótulo e outros o abraçavam, a realidade é que dificilmente teremos uma definição definitiva em algum momento e tudo vai se resumir ao “só quem viveu sabe” e às opiniões pessoais de cada um.
