Diversos grandes músicos foram homenageados pelo Hall da Fama do Rock no último dia 30 de Outubro, quando ocorreu a cerimônia de nomeação de 2021, disponibilizada apenas no último sábado (20) na HBO Max.
A homenagem no segmento “In Memoriam” mostrou lendas como o baterista do The Rolling Stones, Charlie Watts, além de Joey Jordison, baterista do Slipknot, Jeff LaBar (Cinderella), Leslie West (Mountain), Dusty Hill (ZZ Top), Robby Steinhardt (Kansas), Alan Lancaster (Status Quo), John Lawton (Uriah Heep), Ken Hensley (Uriah Heep) e Sylvain Sylvain (New York Dolls), entre outros.
A 36ª cerimônia do Hall serviu também para introduzir no seleto grupo importantes nomes da história da música atual, como Foo Fighters, The Go-Go’s, Jay-Z, Carole King, Todd Rundgren, Tina Turner e LL Cool J.
