Adam Horovitz, mais conhecido como Ad-Rock, pode não estar mais plenamente ativo com o sempre controverso Beastie Boys mas segue aprontando na indústria da música.
Convidado para estar entre os 300 artistas que montaram a nova lista dos 500 melhores discos de todos os tempos da revista Rolling Stone americana, Adam contribuiu com algumas escolhas extremamente únicas — tão únicas que provavelmente só ele conhece, pois vários dos artistas parecem não existir.
Como aponta a própria Rolling Stone, algumas das bandas parecem realmente caricatas demais para ser verdade — como por exemplo Boogaloo in Brooklyn, de Juan Epstein, que não aparece em nenhuma pesquisa do Google (bom, até aparece, mas como um personagem de seriado dos anos 70).
Outra escolha que chama atenção é o de uma suposta banda brasileira (ou portuguesa, talvez) chamada Crianças Loucas, cujo disco É Meu Agora foi eleito por Ad-Rock como o 47º maior da história.
