O CBGB Music & Film Festival já está se tornando um evento tradicional da cena de rock norte-americana. No próximo mês será realizada sua terceira edição e tudo acontece entre os dias 08 e 12 de Outubro em diversos pontos de Nova York.
Esta semana o line up inicial foi divulgado e inclui nomes como Jane’s Addiction, Devo, Billy Idol, Macy Gray, The Muffs, Upset, Duff McKagan e muitos outros artistas.
Já na parte cinematográfica do evento estão incluídos a estreia mundial de “Hardcore Devo Live !”, o documentário sobre Johnny Cash “The Winding Stream” e um especial de 30 º aniversário de “This Is Spinal Tap” (que o New York Film Fest está exibindo também) além do já conhecido filme sobre a história do clube CBGB, histórica casa de shows que dominou o cenário musical de punk-rock em New York durante uma longa época.
