The Velvet Underground & Nico ganha edição de luxo em comemoração aos 45 anos de lançamento

Fãs de Velvet Underground podem se preparar. Foi anunciado o lançamento de uma edição de luxo do clássico álbum de estreia da banda, The Velvet Underground & Nico. O box, que sairá dia 1º de outubro pela Universal, contará com seis discos com versões alternativas, ao vivo, mixadas e de ensaios das músicas do álbum.

Entre as raridades inclusas na edição de luxo estão a versão em estéreo e mono do álbum, um show ao vivo em Columbus, Ohio, uma sessão de estúdio gravada em abril de 1966, além do primeiro álbum solo da vocalista Nico, Chelsea Girl, de 1967. O box também terá gravações de um ensaio de 1966 no Andy Warhol’s Factory, com edições raras de músicas como “Miss Joanie Lee” e “Walk Alone”.
