Iron & Wine faz cover de Johnny Cash

Se estivesse vivo, em fevereiro de 2012 Johnny Cash completaria 80 anos. Para comemorar a data, diversos eventos foram desenvolvidos, entre eles, a recuperação da casa onde o músico passou sua infância e um show de tributo, que aconteceu em 20 de abril, no Moody Theater de Austin, Texas. Desse concerto, participaram Willie Nelson, Sheryl Crow, Iron & Wine, Brandi Carlile, entre outros. O registro da apresentação, que recebeu o nome de We Walk the Line: A Celebration of the Music of Johnny Cash, foi lançado em CD, DVD e Blu Ray nesta terça-feira (07), nos Estados Unidos.

Para dar um aperitivo aos fãs, a Pitchfork liberou o vídeo do Iron & Wine cantando “Long Black Veil“, música composta por Danny Dill e Marijohn Wilkin, mas que virou um clássico após ser interpretada por Cash.
